Dear Two Cranes Music Festival Participants,
Ms. Huang and I regret to inform you that the festival in Yerevan, Armenia has been canceled. We had hoped to move forward, but due to current circumstances, it is no longer feasible. We remain hopeful that, with better conditions, the festival may take place next year in Yerevan or another location.
Several families have expressed concerns regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and have decided to withdraw their participation. We completely understand and respect these decisions, as the safety and well-being of our students and families is our highest priority.
Due to these withdrawals, reduced participation, and the significant financial burden—estimated at $6,000–$8,000 to be absorbed by the Acevedo Music and Art Education Foundation—the festival cannot proceed.
We are deeply disappointed, as we have spent over a year and a half working alongside the Armenian Consulate in Los Angeles to organize this event. We were very much looking forward to it and understand that many of you were as well. We sincerely apologize for this outcome and appreciate your understanding.
All payments you have made will be fully refunded.
For those who have already purchased airline tickets, please review the following steps:
Visit your airline’s website and attempt to cancel your flight for a full refund.
If a refund is not automatically offered, contact customer service and explain the situation.
You may reference the proximity of the travel region to current geopolitical tensions, along with the cancellation of the event, when requesting a refund.
If needed, we can provide official documentation confirming the festival’s cancellation to support your request.
If you encounter any issues, please send us your flight itinerary as soon as possible, including your full name, address, and travel cost details. Our team will assist you in resolving any remaining concerns.
