Flora Hua- Violin


Flora Hua is currently serving as a fulltime violin member of Taipei Symphony Orchestra, an assistant professor at the Music Department of Chinese Cultural University, and music director of Elite Ensemble. She received her Doctor of MusicalArts degree from the National Taiwan Normal University, and a Master of   Music degree from Music and Dance Academy in Cologne, Germany (Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln).


Flora was the Concertmaster at Kaohsiung Youth Symphony Orchestra and Desheng String Orchestra, and performed internationally with both orchestras, as well as performing as soloist. She studied with Prof. Gorjan Košuta (student of Igor Ozim) in Germany, and was an orchestra member at Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and La Tramontana. Flora has worked with renowned soloists such as Maestri like Olivier Charlier, Gerhard Schulz, Sebastian Hamann, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Tomasz Tomaszewski and Ray Chen. Hua has passed the Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom, and was invited to be the interpreter at the Schumann Festival in Düsseldorf. In 2012, Flora was accepted by the Music Department of Hochschule Luzern with full scholarship offered by the Education Department of Taiwan, and she won the audition of Taipei Symphony Orchestra in the same year. Flora has performed in Austria, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, Japan, Korea, China and the United States. In 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022, She held recitals at venue such as National Recital Hall, Bach Recital Hall, Recital Hall of National Taiwan Normal University and Kaohsiung Music Hall. Apart from her regular solo performances, Flora founded "Bravissimo Trio" in 2018 and has given numerous concerts these years. In addition, Flora has devoted herself to charity work. In 2016, he went on tour with Desheng String Orchestra and gave charity concert in Brisbane. In 2018 and 2020, concerts of Bravissimo Trio were held by Taipei Symphony Orchestra in Taipei, and in Kaohsiung, for raising funds for supplementary classes for children in remote villages.
